Around the World in 31 Days

ERG was all over the place this month — in a good way! Here is a quick recap of just some of our travels in case you missed anything on social media.

Who: Victoria Brownlee

Where: Sydney, Australia

What: Keynote at the ACEL 2019 Conference

Fun Fact: Victoria had Kangaroo Kabobs one evening at dinner. She said they taste similar to steak!

Who: Hannah Reeder

Where: Taichung, Taiwan

What: Two day conference on Sue Brookhart’s Design for Classroom Assessment

Fun Fact: Hannah is an avid traveler and said Taiwan is one of the most beautiful places she has ever seen!

Who: April Greenwood

Where: Tillamook, Oregon

What: Workshop on Giving Effective Feedback

Fun Fact: Tillamook is famous for cheese and ice cream. After learning about it, we realized we can support Tillamook right here in North Carolina since their products are in our stores!

Who: Melissa McKinney Cunane

Where: Tokyo, Japan

What: Giving Effective Feedback workshop, followed by two days of grade level planning sessions

Fun Fact: While in Japan, Melissa experienced a typhoon and there was also an earthquake in the region. Thank goodness neither one dampened her spirits or experience!

Who: Beth Pesnell

Where: Belmar, New Jersey

What: Guided Math training with a group of teachers from several area districts

Fun Fact: Melissa was in a nearby town at the same time and they were able to meet for dinner — then, Hope and Melissa were on the same flight home!

Who: Melissa Rareshide

Where: Oconee County, South Carolina

What: Small group Guided Math demonstration lessons

Fun Fact: Oconee County borders Lake Keowee and Melissa was able to enjoy the scenery while there.
